Custodial Sectors

With over 20 years experience, HLN's Custodial Team have worked on both public and private projects in over 90 of the 138 prison establishments in England and Wales. Our involvement has covered concept designs for new prisons and the detailed design of major prison expansion projects, the design of new build accommodation blocks and ancillary buildings on a wide range of schemes including some of the 158 listed buildings within the prison estate.

Part of our service sees senior team members undertake the technical audit and supervision of Design and Build schemes on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, resulting in an invaluable contribution to our experience and understanding of the design and technical standards, cost constraints and other key drivers, required in this particular sector.
